About the job

Full Time | Monday–Friday | 6:45 AM–3:15 PM | 40 Hours | No Holidays | Everett, WA

Tired of seeing pets only on their worst days—and not even being allowed to comfort them?

At Four-Legged Fun Zone, you’ll finally get to connect with dogs the way you always wanted to: by celebrating their good days. You’ll use your veterinary awareness to help keep playgroups safe and spot early signs of stress or injury—but you’ll also be free to laugh, pet, and snuggle.

You’ll watch puppies grow up week after week, celebrate first birthdays, and sometimes even collect a baby tooth to send home to their family—being part of that first milestone right alongside them.

A typical day includes: spending most of your time leading small, structured playgroups—on your feet, standing, and engaging with the dogs to help them have fun safely. When you take a quick sitting break to rest your legs, expect to be mobbed by affectionate pups competing for lap space and belly rubs. You’ll also have two one-hour blocks of quiet time—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—when you’ll be off your feet to upload photos and write the funny stories that get shared with clients at the end of the day.

And yes, you can bring your own dog to work (if they’re a good fit).

Do you love posting videos to social media? Here, you’ll receive a bonus for uploading short, fun clips to our Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages that show what makes Four-Legged Fun Zone such a special place. Not your skill set? No problem—still apply! This part of the job is a wish-list item, not a requirement. What matters most is your veterinary-industry knowledge—your ability to read body language, spot subtle changes, and help keep every dog healthy and happy.

You’re a Great Fit If You

  • Have at least 12 consecutive months of recent (2022–present) hands-on experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician in a professional veterinary clinic or animal hospital. (Reception, volunteer, or pet-sitting experience does not count.)
  • Have stayed at least 12+ months in one prior role—showing you’re ready for a long-term position on our team
  • Want to step out of the high-stress clinical world and into a feel-good environment
  • Are confident leading small groups of dogs and reading canine body language
  • Love helping nervous or shy dogs come out of their shells
  • Are 18+ and able to meet the physical/mental requirements

Dog Care Services:
Dog Walking: Sometimes it just isn't possible to walk our furry friends. My team/I will exercise your dog(s) so you find a cheerful and calm friend when you return. Whether your dog needs a leisurely stroll, brisk walk, or fast jog, these customized visits will happen regardless of the Pacific Northwest weather.
In-home boarding: In-home boarding is very different from a traditional kennel because only 1-2 dogs from the same household stay with us at one time to ensure a personalized experience. We encourage our furry guests to relax/nap on the couches and utilize the floor for playtime. On warm days, we spend time in the fenced back yard so they can enjoy the outdoors. At bedtime, your dogs can to snuggle on the master bed or sleep in a dog bed on the floor like they would at home.
Overnight Pet Sitting: We have a slumber party in your home with your pets as the guest of honor so they will remain in their own environment and maintain their normal routine. Our overnight services include dinner/evening potty break, staying overnight (including sleeping with your pet if that is part of the routine), breakfast/morning potty visit and other home-care tasks.
