•The curious –who is interested in people and their behavior, as well as the digital, physical and service landscape

•The service designer – who leverages current and future state research insights through service design methodologies and frameworks; identifies friction points and ideates on potential solutions, using prototyping, validation and iteration to zero in on the path forward

•The collaborator – who as part of the UX Centre of Expertise (CoE) will work across products, services and functions; we need someone who recognizes the need for broad engagement across the organization to arrive at the best design outcomes; as well as working with leaders to prioritize, define and weigh the level of impact versus effort

•The synthesizer – who has the ability to understand the organization and abstract complexity to simplicity where possible and appropriate

•The outcome-oriented – who understands that research is a path to an outcome, rather than an end in itself

•collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve the best results for the organization

•demonstrating self-motivation to take initiative to find creative and effective ways to accomplish tasks

•driving and synthesising research and service design through job shadows usability studies and interviews

•being an active listener and interviewer who enjoys using great questions to help participants and drive the conversation

•authoring presentations and conveying research findings, recommendations, and designs to product teams

•absorbing large amounts of information and use it to drive designs and product recommendations at various organisational levels

•developing visual user flows, blueprints and customer journeys that effectively communicate user interactions

•creating rapid value maps and blueprints to validate process concepts with stakeholders and users

•clear understanding of “good” vs “bad” service design, and why

•YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

•3 - 4 years relevant experience in a similar role

•a degree in human-computer interaction, interaction design, computer/information science, or similar, or equivalent practical experience

•proven experience of doing generative and evaluative research, information architecture and interaction design engagements, ideally for a variety of digital applications and/or physical and service experiences

•(this should be demonstrated in your portfolio)

•presentation skills, which can be demonstrated through the presentation of your interactive design portfolio

•familiarity with creative design thinking as well as good understanding of UI/UX best practices, information architecture, Gestalt principles, and design psychology

•an understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences

•knowledge of agile methodologies and ways of working at scale (Scrum, XP, DevOps…), and with the ability to engage in agile ceremonies

•exceptional communications and stakeholder management skills

•entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within rapidly changing environment

•proficient in collaboration tools, including MS Office, Slack and Miro

•closely with passionate engineering and product teams that are concerned about the creation of a great user experience
