This role supports the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding to offboarding — and focuses on creating efficient processes, exceptional employee experiences, and data-driven people programs.You’ll partner across departments to deliver reliable, high-quality support while ensuring compliance with employment laws, company policies, and best practices. This is a hands on role that supports the Director of People Operations and requires expertise in Excel and former Payroll experience.Employee Lifecycle & HR OperationsManage all aspects of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, changes, and offboarding.Maintain accurate and compliant employee records in our HRIS (e.g., BambooHR or similar).Own employment-related documentation including offer letters, addenda, and status changes.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.Payroll & Benefits AdministrationManage the bi-weekly payroll procBessing by reviewing changes, auditing data, and ensuring accuracy.Coordinate benefits administration including enrollments, terminations, and annual open enrollment.Respond to employee questions about payroll, benefits, and general HR policies.Culture & EngagementHelp execute engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company-wide communications.Coordinate employee events, celebrations, and wellness initiatives.Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) efforts through programs and tracking.Systems, Data & Process ImprovementMaintain data integrity in HR systems and assist with HR analytics and reporting.Build and manage People Ops dashboards and reports using Excel and HR data sources.Identify opportunities to streamline People Ops workflows and enhance automation.Partner with leadership on special projects related to performance, compliance, and growth.What We’re Looking ForExperience: 2–4 years in HR, People Operations, or a related administrative role (SaaS/startup environment preferred).SHRM/PHR CertificationKnowledge: Solid understanding of HR processes, employment law basics, and HRIS systems.Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas, and data analysis).Strong data management and reporting skills.Professional Skills:Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal).Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.Mindset: Resourceful, proactive, and eager to improve systems and experiences.Salary $80,000-100,000Why Join EmpactHigh-growth trajectoryRemote-first culture: 100% remote team with periodic in-person offsites for collaboration and strategy.Competitive compensation, equity participation, and full benefits including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)PTORemote work stipend
